Equipping our nation’s Warriors for the war within

Sometimes the toughest battles our Warriors face are the ones no one else can see. Our yoga programs provide veterans and first responders with practical tools & training to manage stress, increase resilience and promote post-traumatic growth.

Yoga for Massachusetts’ Military & first Responder Communities

Warrior Within Yoga Project, Inc. provides evidence-based and trauma-informed mind-body practice like yoga to veterans, service members, first responders and their families. In addition to partnering with organizations that want to implement yoga programs, we offer Free “Warrior” classes accessible to all that have served.

Programs

  • Free Warrior Yoga Classes

Yoga supports those living with post traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, moral injury, sexual trauma and more. We provide free yoga classes to veterans, service members, first responders and their families to provide a space for Warriors to heal from invisible wounds shoulder to shoulder.

  • Tailored Programs

As a complimentary alternative therapy, recognized by the VA, evidence-based yoga helps support the health and wellbeing of those in the military and first responder community. We partner with local organizations to design and implement impactful yoga programs, providing expert teachers, equipment and organizational support.

  • Public Classes

    Community Benefit Classes

Communities that are connected and invested in those who serve them, whether that be Veterans, service members or first responders, are stronger.

Our Community Benefit Yoga Classes invite the public & Warriors alike to support WWYP’s mission. These special monthly pop-up classes help to sponsor our free programs for veterans & first responders.

  •  “You are a lifesaver. Learning how to breathe through it made all the difference. This is really changing my life”.

    - US Army Veteran

  • "This was the first time I’ve ever felt relaxed and stretched or even at peace since I deployed."

    - Soldier, US Army Reserve

  • "I have been practicing yoga for about 30 years. I really enjoy these classes and go as often as I can. I was surprised by how much I get from doing yoga sitting on a chair. Some of our vets have wounds from combat, one vet is 99 years young! I love how we can all practice yoga together".
